We have visited your photo blog and admired your images, wanted to leave you a comment; but there is an error in the comment field. We are told we are spam because we did not enter the correct code; but there is no code message on the comment form.
Suppose you would like to look into it -
Great photos! Keep up the good work!

Re: How to take spectacular water droplet/splash pictures

I did not use a macro lens. I used my 55-200 zoom on a tripod from about 5 feet away. I don't have a macro lens, and I don't think it would be a good idea in this situation since you'd have to get really close to the splash. That would mean water might splash up onto your lens.

I suppose you could arrange a setup where you'd be behind some kind of glass, but in my situation it wouldn't have worked.

PS: I'm a relative beginner photographer, so I wouldn't go asking me about lens advice. You're liable to get hurt.

Re: How to take spectacular water droplet/splash pictures

Thanks for that. I have often wondered how its done.
What macro lens would you recommend? I have a canon 1d III

Re: How to take spectacular water droplet/splash pictures

This is a test of the emergency commenting system.
